Basically I use this in modrinth launcher and I made a separate profile and then copied most of the files from the profile to the next but it doesn't really save any logs at all since the copying. I don't know if this will help but I also use this mod alongside Chat Patches

Sorry for such a late reply, but uploading the chatlogs folder as a zipped file (or email me at 2717498529@qq.com if uploading is not convenient) will be helpful for further investigation.

here

chatlogs.zip

Seem that only the log recorded on 2025/7/19 is saved correctly (other ones are neither indexed nor saved), but i am sorry to say that i have no exact idea why it happens.

By the way, have you copied the config folder while copying, it contains an important file storing the next IDs of new chat logs, absence of it may set the database in inconsist states?

I am sorry for that i cannot finger out the exact cause, but i have made a new and possibly more stable build, and hopefully it can work properly.

Note: Since the github doesn't allow uploading jar files, you should unpack the zip to get the jar file. And this version runs on 1.20.4, i can build another if it is not the your Minecraft version.

By the way, the ChatPatches does conflicts with this mod. When running with ChatPatches 204.6.10, entering the chating screen (via pressing t or /) causes all previous messages to be written to the chat logs, resulting in duplication.

It is not yet clear if some versions of ChatPatches can completely stop chat log recording, but i would be glad to investigate more if the specific version of ChatPatches you are using are provided.
